1. Upon arrival to International Airport El Dorado
The best transportation options to your hotel or place you stay are:
- Authorized taxis from stands and lines.
- Prearranged driver to pick you up. Make sure you have the name of the driver and mobile number
to avoid confusion. - DO NOT accept rides from others offering cheaper rates.
- Be sure to have the exact address of your destination.
- DO NOT use Uber as they take a long time to arrive.
2. During your stay in Bogota

General Security Recommendations
- Try to walk on the streets only during the day and inside the green areas of the map. Avoid walking
- on the streets and visiting parks during the night.
- If using public transportation at night ask at your hotel, or where ever you are to call an authorized
- taxi service or use Uber, it’s the best option.
- When walking on the streets, even during the day, stay aware of your personal belongings.
- Avoid buying drinks or food on the streets. Only buy at supermarkets, hotels or restaurants.
- Never use ATMs on the streets. Always inside banks or malls.
